Historic Locations

Hadrian’s Wall, also known as the Roman Wall, was a fortification in the Roman province of Britannia. It’s 73 miles long and marked with many archaeological sites and museums that you can visit. Vindolanda was a Roman auxiliary fort south of Hadrian’s Wall and is noted for its Vindolanda tablets, which were one of the most important discoveries of military and private correspondence.
